Escape Oz on a Holiday to India

Those that live in Australia are blessed with living in a country which others flock to as their dream holiday destination. But if you live somewhere like that then surely you have to sometimes escape and go on holiday in a different destinations. This is the dilemma facing those that live in Australia with incredible attractions like the Great Barrier Reef, Byron Bay and cities like Melbourne and Sydney on their doorstep.

It’s certainly nice for anyone to have a change on holiday though, no matter where they live. Getting away to somewhere different allows you to escape the rigours and stress of being at home and work pressures, even if you live on a paradise island.

So where should Aussies escape to? Well, India is certainly a fantastic destination, with huge variety and a world away from the attractions of Australia. With all major airlines flying there, like Delta, Srilankan Airlines and Qantas, you can easily get an affordable flight and be there in no time.

Once you arrive there is a myriad of opportunities to choose from. If you want a cultural break then you can explore the northern parts of India, visiting Rajasthan, seeing the Taj Mahal and exploring enchanting cities like Jaipur and Agra.

India holidaysFor those who want a more active break, the Himalayas tower over the country offering the chance to scale some of the most challenging peaks in the world. And once you reach the top the view will make it all worthwhile.

And then there are the paradise beaches for those who want to just put their feet up, sup on a cocktail and relax. Head to Goa and mix it with the hippies for a holiday of pure rest and relaxation.

Australia is a beautiful country with amazing variety, but everyone needs a holiday, and we think India is a great place to head to for a wonderful contrast of places and experiences.
